Breakdown
Richard Withers is at a bad point in his life. He's lost his job, his apartment and his self-respect. His neighbor may be a hired gun out to kill him. Forces unknown are pursuing him across the country, the Federal Government would like to have a word with him, strange creatures are appearing everywhere, and he is beginning to suspect that he is misfortune incarnate.
Moreover, he may be right.
